Happy New Year~~

Mr Crabby Tabby and I are such party animals!  We actually stayed awake until around 9 pm this New Year's Eve!!  Of course the idiot on the street in back of us, who has a strong love for illegal fireworks set some off right at midnight, waking the entire household.  So I did at least get to quickly turn the TV on in time to see Dick Clark signing off.  That man is amazing!

So very blessed!

We are so blessed!  We had the most beautiful Christmas Eve service at church, concluded with everyone holding candles and singing Silent Night.

Since Christmas was on a Sunday this year, we were able to celebrate with our church family, a special treat.  I think it's something we should do each year, no matter what day it falls on.  I've already put my request in to Deacon Don to bring that up at the next deacon meeting.

During the morning greeting, Santa Victor handed Don a large envelope and said, "Merry Christmas."  Don opened it up and began hyperventilating.  It was a pair of tickets to see the Lakers and Celtics in March.  A truly unexpected and generous gift!!

Like I said, we are so blessed!

Home from Cambria

We made it home safely yesterday afternoon from our annual trip to beautiful Cambria!!  We were there for 8 nights and of course had a wonderful time.  Reservations for 2012 have already been made~~

It's a cold, windy rainy afternoon; the perfect background for some knitting, but there are too many bags to be unpacked and other things to be taken care of before fun-time.  I did, however, just find the arrowhead scarf pattern that I saw along our travels, and would like to get started on that as soon as possible.

Welcome to the Newest Addition

I'm so excited to introduce the newest addition to our furry little family!  Abner!!  He's the huge orange tabby that I've wanted for the longest time and thought I would never have.  What a sweet little Cuddlebug that never knows how to turn off that thundering motor of his.
